Hello,
I'm trying to configure a working mail server with virtual domains for= about 2 weeks now. I'm useing the workaround.org postfix/courier tutorial as basis: http://workaround.org/articles/ispma...index.shtml.en My main problem is, that I'm not able to make a pop or imap login with= courier. The authdaemon is using a mysql database. A mysql connect over console with the created user for the pop/imap login is working. If I send a mail over "telnet localhost 25" the forwarding is done correct,= which means that postfix is able to access the mysql database and tables correctly but= courier isn't. When I try to make a pop/imap login with my mail client I get the following= error: *** Checking mail for account 'test' @ 06.09.2005 13:34 *** Connecting to: 'pop.domain.tld' -> Successful Logging into POP3 account: 'alle@domain.tld@pop.domain.tld' (where= alle@domain.tld ist the user and pop.domain.tld the mail server address) Disconnecting -> Successful Failed to get mail from account: 'alle@domain.tld@pop.domain.tld' Mail server responded: ' Login failed.' I'm using Calypso as Mail Client. My Debian Sarge Mailserver log says: Sep 6 13:43:47 localhost courierpop3login: Connection,= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225] Sep 6 13:43:47 localhost courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG:= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225], command=3DUSER Sep 6 13:43:47 localhost courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG:= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225], command=3DPASS Sep 6 13:43:47 localhost courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG:= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225], username=3Dalle@domain.tld Sep 6 13:43:48 localhost courierpop3login: authdaemon: starting client= module Sep 6 13:43:48 localhost courierpop3login: authdaemon: TEMPFAIL - no more= modules will be tried (WHAT IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?) Sep 6 13:43:53 localhost courierpop3login: LOGIN FAILED,= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225] Sep 6 13:43:53 localhost courierpop3login: LOGIN: DEBUG:= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225], command=3DQUIT Sep 6 13:43:53 localhost courierpop3login: LOGOUT,= ip=3D[::ffff:84.186.69.225] I altered my domain with domain.tld So, Postfix ist working and delivering the mails correctly. That means= postfix is able to access the mysql database. Why is corier giving me this error? Here is my courier authdamonrc config: authmodulelist=3D"authuserdb" authmodulelistorig=3D"authcustom authcram authuserdb authldap authpgsql= authmysql authpam" daemons=3D5 version=3D"" authdaemonvar=3D/var/run/courier/authdaemon Here is my courier authmysqlrc config: MYSQL_SERVER 127.0.0.1 MYSQL_USERNAME provider_admin MYSQL_PASSWORD ***** MYSQL_SOCKET /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock MYSQL_PORT 0 MYSQL_OPT 0 MYSQL_DATABASE provider MYSQL_USER_TABLE users MYSQL_CLEAR_PWFIELD password MYSQL_UID_FIELD 103 (UID of Mysql) MYSQL_GID_FIELD 105 MYSQL_LOGIN_FIELD email MYSQL_HOME_FIELD /home/vmail MYSQL_NAME_FIELD provider_admin MYSQL_MAILDIR_FIELD= CONCAT(SUBSTRING_INDEX(email,'@',-1),'/',SUBSTRING_INDEX(email,'@',1),'/') I really tried a lot of things and searched the web, but dind't find a= solution that would solve my problem. I hope somebody finally can help me out. If you need to know something= else, please let me know.
