What's curious is that I had already set MAXDAEMONS=40 in the IMAP
configuration file for Courier. And I was still experiencing problems.

Thunderbird recently seemed to forget that I set the threads down to 1
(it was reset to the default 5) and I started seeing problems again.
Which went away which I changed it back to 1.

So there's something going on. I suspect Thunderbird at this point.
However, I should do some packet captures to see what's really happening.
