I got it, you were wrong! ;-)

I just appended an additional WHERE-clause in the MySQL-statement:

WHERE ... AND '$(service)' !=3D 'courier'

That's it. A quick and dirty but fully working workaround. MySQL-stored=20
accounts are working for pop3/imap/webmail/esmtp but not for local=20
address lookup.
Courier is great. ;-)
