Limit records trasfer zone

I have 2 DNS bind server. The 2 server are on 2 networks and there is a
firewall check-point.
When the slave transfer zones from master zone go in error if the zones
contains many records, because the firewall drop some packets, it
thinks is a attack.
Can I limit numer of records on single transfer zone?
