Hello-
Im trying to setup bind 9.2.5 on my fedora 4 box. I compiled from scratch with --prefix=/opt/bind make make install then put all the files in /opt/bind/etc When I run, I get the following in messages: Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: starting BIND 9.2.5 -u named -t /var/named/chroot Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: using 1 CPU Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: loading configuration from '/opt/bind/etc/named.conf' Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: none:0: open: /opt/bind/etc/named.conf: file not found Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: loading configuration: file not found Sep 30 15:58:13 fedora named[26351]: exiting (due to fatal error) ls -l /opt/bind/etc/named.conf -rw-r--r-- 1 named named 1219 Sep 30 15:02 /opt/bind/etc/named.conf The file exists, so why does the log say file not found? confusing error message, seems like it should be more specific? So what am I doing wrong? Thanks |
