XML BIND Configuration

Has anyone considered, or implemented, a configuration file parser for
BIND using XML? If nothing else, an XML to "named.conf" file
translator would suffice.

If feels like XML is the future for configuration files. The syntax
for the BIND configuration is almost XML now, it's hierarchical and
well structured, so the changes should be minimal. There are many good
XML editors available, which would make editing the configuration file
easier.
