Your question can be solved very simple...
Just change your
> 1 PTR srv1.XXX.com
> 2 PTR srv2.XXX.com
to
> 1 PTR srv1.XXX.com.
> 2 PTR srv2.XXX.com.
-- Pay attention to the dot behind both hostnames --

Bind simply attaches the domain part (in your case the
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.in-addr.arpa) do any hostname which does not end with a
dot...
