You're on Sympatico. You can't send mail outside of Sympatico's network
without using their
mail server as a "smart relay", and you can't receive incomming mail
(it's also against your AUP.
Read it.)

Your other problems probably boil down to various syntax errors. You
should probably pick up
DNS & BIND, 4th Edition and read it thoroughly as you consider your
choice of ISP.
