This is not the problem that he has at hand, however. The situation at hand
is where _his_ mail system is trying to _send_ mail, with the receiving end
performing DNS lookups. In such a situation it is implicit that there is IP
connectivity between his system and the system that is trying to talk to his
content DNS servers, because there is an open and active TCP connection
between his SMTP Relay client and the remote system's SMTP Relay server at the
time.
