Bind9.2.2 rndc file

I just installed Bind 9.2.2 on Windows2K and I generated the "rndc-key"
file. I think I might be reading the "readME" file differently, but do have
to generate the rndc-confgen > rndc.conf file? It seems like the server is
running fine without that file generated?

If the "rndc.conf" file needs to be generated are there some samples that I
can take a look at?
