Another newbie to apache i'm afraid.

Am finding the documentation on the apache.org site helpful but often a
little too detailed. Does anyone know of a website that has some "beginner
level "how to's"?

No problems with the install or initial config. Am running Apache/1.3.28.

Have been staring at httpd.conf for some time now trying to work out where
and what to add to have a URL resolve on a homepage rather than the index of
the DocumentRoot. The conf file talks of sybolic links and aliases but does
not offer examples of how to introduce these, that is if they are relevant.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
