Hi, I've just installed Oracle 9iAS rel 2 on SuSE Linux Enterprise 7.
Installation went fine and everything seemed normal, but after a reboot Apache can no longer start. Here is the relavent section of my error log. [Tue Jul 8 14:43:36 2003] [error] (2)No such file or directory: FastCGI: access for server (uid -1, gid 54) failed: read not allowed by group [Tue Jul 8 14:43:36 2003] [error] (2)No such file or directory: FastCGI: can't create dynamic directory "/tmp/fcgi_27285/dynamic": access for server (uid -1, gid 54) failed: read not allowed by group [Tue Jul 8 14:43:36 2003] [notice] FastCGI: process manager initialized (pid 27337) [Tue Jul 8 14:43:36 2003] [notice] FastCGI: server "/opt/oracle/product/9ir2/Apache/Apache/fcgi-bin/echo" started (pid 27338) [Tue Jul 8 14:43:37 2003] [notice] Oracle HTTP Server/1.3.22 (Unix) DAV/1.0.2 (OraDAV enabled) mod_plsql/9.0.2.0.0 mod_osso/9.0.2.0.0 mod_oc4j/3.0 mod_ossl/9.0.2.0.0 mod_fastcgi/2.2.10 mod_perl/1.26 configured -- resuming normal operations [Tue Jul 8 14:43:37 2003] [notice] Accept mutex: fcntl (Default: fcntl) [Tue Jul 8 14:43:39 2003] [notice] caught SIGTERM, shutting down I'm not sure why it's getting killed off as soon as it starts. Some googling for the answer has told me to ignore the errors related to FastCGI user/group stuff. Any ideas? I'm a Linux guy but this is my first exposure to Oracle. imnes@_NO-SPAM-PLEASE_go.com nicholas.smith@_NO-SPAM-PLEASE_cnet.navy.mil Sent to alt.apache.configuration |
