Help!!!!!!

I've been struggling for 2 days to get
cocoon-lates-vm14-bin-zip to run with
Apache-2.0.46
J2SDK1.4.2 and
jakarta-tomcat-4.1.24-LE-jdk14.zip or
jakarta-tomcat-5.0.3.zip

I followed the process indicated in cocoon sites:
1. Install J2SDK1.4
2. Install Tomcat
3. unzip cocoon and copy cocoon.war to
%CATALINA_HOME%\webapps
4. Start Apache
5. Start Tomcat ... it un-jar cocoon.war
6. copy xml-apis.jar xalan*.jar xercesImpl*.jar from
- %CATALINE_HOME%\webapps\cocoon\
WEB-INF\lib
to

- %JAVA_HOME%\jre\lib\endorsed
- %CATALINA_HOME%\common\endorsed
7. Restart Tomcat from the command line

Error on the pop-up windows:

June 27 ....
INFO: Initializing, config='org.apache.webapp.admin.ApplicationResourc es',
returnNull=true
file IO Exception: java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid entry size (expected
2472738816 but got 48 bytes)
server.properties not found, using command line or default properties
Opening database: c:\..\cocoon\WEB-INF\db]cocoon.db
HSQLDB server 1.7.1 is runnning

(that's the only error I've got... and some WARNING for duplicate name but
no errors).

Now, after this long journey, I am just about to give up but before I do
that, I was wondering if anyone ever get the latest cocoon with the aboce
combination to work?

If not, does anyone ever get the latest cocoon to work with what
combination:

what version of apache?
what version of J2SDK?
what version of tomcat?
what version of cocoon?

sample apps.
