Default apche config - virtual hosts & ssl - can't password protect https dircetory

Hi,

I've just reinstalled Centos4 and Apache and have been attempting to
get my webserver up & running again... I want to run virtual sites plus
1 ssl site which I have managed to get running satisfactorily apart
from the fact that i can't password protect a directory under ssl (the
ssl directory is the same directory as one of the http: virtual
servers)... I can password protect the directory when accessing it via
the http: url but switching to https doesn't require a password....

can anyone suggest what I may be doing wrong? (I'm using webmin to
adminstrate the server)

Thanks

andy
