This has to be possible. I have a root directory where I have a web site. Below the website I have a PUBLIC directory. So it looks like this /WebRoot/Public I have an .htaccess file that looks like this Options +Indexes +Includes XBitHack on IndexOptions +IgnoreCase +SuppressDescription NameWidth=* +SuppressHTMLPreamble HeaderName .header.html ReadmeName .footer.html Now the problem. I place files in the public directory that have nothing to do with the website so I done want the users to see or be able to click on the option for PARENT DIRECTORY. Isnt there a way to add something to the htaccess file that will remove the PARENT DIRECTORY so the user can see the files in the PUBLIC direcrory and access them without a password but not be able to go anywhere else only the PUBLIC folder Seems so easy but cant find the solution PLEASE HELP |
