Windows vs. Linux

Hi newsgroup,

I have decide between an Apache under Windows or Linux.

Please don't start a discussion which OS itself is more stable ;-)

I only want to know what are the advantages to run Apache under Linux
(related to Apache). We plan a small farm with 2 machines (each 2 CPU's
and 4GB RAM).

As Davide says... Apache is native to a *nix environment. If you are
wanting to also use PHP, Perl, and MySQL then those too are also native
to *nix. That really should tell you all you need to know.

Use whichever operating system you feel more comfortable with. An admin
who is unfamiliar with an OS, regardless of the debate over which is
more secure, will not do as well as one who maintains an OS he is
familiar with.
