Hi Folks - probably stupid questions but here goes:
Dove straight in and installed DeveloperSide.NET combined Apache, Tomcat, PHP and MySql today and the server seems to be running fine - judging by the localhost response page. Also installed Java JDK 5. This is intended as a testing site for new pages / functionality. The service is running but I don't have a service notice in the tray - any ideas on how to get the service notification listed ? I can easily open html pages in IE, however php pages don't open - it's looking for a program to open it with. What do I need to configure in this package to get PHP running (thought it was all pre-configured)? I have been using IIS in the past, with virtual directories (not on this machine by the way), and I am not totally sure where my web site / pages should go: www, or www\Apache2, or www\Apache2\htdocs\sitename\... Appreciate some feedback on these points. Apologies for basic questions - sure I'll learn fast - eventually. -- Kahuna ------------ |
