Default mod_proxy for apache 2.0 compilation/enabling

Is it possible to compile and install mod_proxy seperately, so that I
don't recompile my existing apache2 installation, which is configured
with the following options.

"./configure" \
"--enable-layout=SUSE" \
"--enable-headers" \
"--enable-expires" \
"--enable-rewrite" \
"--enable-so" \

It shouldn't take all the much time to recompile apache. In the time
you've been waiting for a reply on usenet, you could have it recompiled.
