changing hardware cards in my linux FC3 box fixed eliminated connection
problems I was experiencing... certain web sites wouldn't resolve completely and I couldn't even reach some. I'm connect (as you can see ) but when I went to run up my Apache-2.x it reported this: $ /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start (13)Permission denied: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs The card has the same alias " eth0 " Have I failed to configure something?? |

I rebooted with the newly configured card with the old one pulled out of the machine.... fc3 boots looking for the old hardware and wanting to remove it... I didn't tell it to remove it, maybe I should have... but went ahead with boot and now Apache starts up for me. thanks |
