On a w2k system there are some leftovers from previous installations of
apache, php and mysql. Everything has been deleted/uninstalled, except leftovers in the registry. These leftovers prevent me from installing properly new instances. When I install a new version of Apache, there seem to be 3 instances (2 old, 1 new), MySQL won't complete a new installation. How do I safely get rid of the old stuff? Thanks, mieke |

Thank you. I agree.
So I made a backup of the registry, as well as a complete disk backup. But then I am not a registry wizard, so I did not and do not know how to clean the registry. I have tried several socalled regcleaners which did not deliver. Where do I change the registry without having to deal with a messup? mieke "Newsgroup Poster" <dont.need@my.address.ok> schreef in bericht news:dlib83$23f$1$8302bc10@news.demon.co.uk... > emm the obvious thing to do is remove them from the registry !!!!!!!!! > > "mieke" <mieke@mic.com> wrote in message news:437ca45d$0$35268$dbd41001@news.wanadoo.nl... > > On a w2k system there are some leftovers from previous installations of > > apache, php and mysql. > > Everything has been deleted/uninstalled, except leftovers in the registry. > > These leftovers prevent me from installing properly new instances.
