Default Apache 2 Or 1.3.

Excuse me if this question has been answered before.

Is there any comprehensive list or a table that compares or lists the
pros and cons of Apache 2.xx compared to 1.3xx?

We are about to get a new server hosted at our provider, and I will only
have ssh access to it, and they are insisting on not supporting Apache
1.3x anymore, the only versions that they support would be 2.xx.

Any pointers, suggestions, comments are welcomed.

Thank you.

Who are you to tell people to look elsewhere instead of posting here?

Start posting helpful messages and stop acting like a netcop wannabe.

If you can't help or don't know the answer then do yourself and us a
favor and stop wasting space and bandwidth with such useless answers.

Someone said that you are an asshole, and I agree.
There was nothing wrong in the question, and statistics if meant
anything, mean that you are posting mostly useless remarks and being an
asshole more than anyone posting in this newsgroup.

The pros and cons at this point are going to be a lot of opinion and
hot breath. Apache 2 is mostly working fine and functional. Still, I
have run into a couple cases where some modules caused problems and
the quick fix was to use 1.3.

Is that ssh to non-root or ssh to root? If you can get a dedicated server
you should get root access and be able to run your own version of anything.
But then you support it yourself, too. if your provider only supports 2.0
then go with that and you get to put them on the spot of you find something
that doesn't work in 2.0.

OT: what OS are they using?
