Apache not seen in services on Vista?

I can't find my apache web server in the services applet on Vista
ultimate. I installed it painlessly with an installer quite a while ago
without trouble but now I don't know how it works. I want to stop &
start while editing the config for a virtualhost.

Thanks for any clues.
