Doesn't Start

I installed Apache 1.3 on my machine. I am running Windows
2000.

When I check the processes, Apache is not running. I have
rebooted my machine and it still doesn't come up as a service.

Can anyone tell me how I can fix this?

I return to tell you that I uninstalled Apache 1.3. I
discovered that there were still files from it installed under the
'Program Files' folder.

I deleted all of those files and subdirectories including the
Apache subdirectory. When I reinstalled it, the server came up. I
rebooted to see if it would restart on its own. It did.

Weird. But solved.
