CF7 Client Certificate Variables From Apache

We've got SSL sessions working with Apache and we'd like our
applications to examine the client certificates. Is it possible to
receive client certificate variables in CF7 from Apache (2.0.63) on
Unix platforms? I've read that it's possible with IIS and Netscape
Enterprise. So, I'm hoping it's possible under Apache as well. Anyone
got this working?
