How to show a directory that becomes hidden due to passwordprotection?

I am currently using Apache 2.0.44 for Win32 and have recently
enabled .htaccess/.htpasswd in a particular directory so that it is
password protected (via. httpd.conf, AllowOverride All). The
directory's password protection works accordingly, however the
protected directy name no longer shows up in the index list. How can
I make it so that the directory name is still displayed while
maintaining user/pass authentication?
