Default 403 on Images

I'm having trouble with my apache server. It seems that my site works
fine from anywhere except on the lan. I think this maybe to do with
the speed.

When I load a page full of images it works fine except when on the
lan, on the lan it shows half of them and then will not show any more,
if you click on "next page" (before the server has a chance to rest)
it shows a 403 Forbidden page. Hit the refresh after a second and it's
fine. If a picture doesn't load you can right click on it and show
picture and it will work. Could this be something in my config?

Do you have a firewall on your machine? there have been many reports
of problems with firewall and apache.
