This is a bit of a weird problem and one which I have not had before.
My website (www.colinryan.net) appears to work for anyone when I give them that exact link. However for ME to access it from any of my computers, I must use http://colinryan.net (without the www). My site is hosted on one of my own servers in my house. Besides the apache httpd being edited to reflect my new IP address, nothing has changed. Does anyone know what might be causing this issue and, more importantly, how I might fix it? Thanks. |

It looks like it is finding it | via the domain name and not URL. Are your browsers set up to check DNS | servers? Yes they are. I have just noticed something else interesting though. A couple of my friends, who are on the same node of the same ISP as me, cannot access it with the www preface, but must also use the http:// the same as me. My brother in London on the same ISP as me (but obviously a different node) can access it fine. Could this possibly be something to do with the DNS caching of my ISP? |
