unable to configure vhosts

Hello all:

I need help. I am running a suse linux workstation and
installed apache 2.2.

For some reason I cannot modify the listen.conf manually
or through YaST.

The server works but I can only access webpages via IP

I have checked permissions and opened all files
path /etc/apache2/listen.conf

I am stuck.
