Default Apache automatic Archive of logs

Hi,

First of all I am new to apache and its configuration. I would like to
know how I can configure my web server to automatically archive the
log files and what are the options that I can use?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thanks

apache is distributed with a sample log rotation script, rotatelogs:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/pro...otatelogs.html

and other options for log archiving are discussed in this bit of documentation:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/logs.html#rotation

you might be interested in using cronolog:

Read:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/logs.html#piped
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/pro...otatelogs.html

If you want to ask more, please tell us what your problem
is with following the instructions in the manual, and tell
us your Operating System, its version and the Apache
version.
