Default setting up for different host names

how do i set up my server so that:

www.mysite.com
and
foo.mysite.com

get sent to different initial documents? i.e., the first getting sent to
htdocs/index.html, and the second to htdocs/foo.html or something.

RH 8.0
apache 2.0.49
