I have a website using UTF-8 encoding and a annoying problem.
When I browse it locally (apache v2.0.47) I get wrong encoding in my web browser (MS IE v6 and Opera v7) and I must manually select the right encoding to make content readable. However this problem disappears when I upload the page to other server (my hosting provider). Pages are displayed fine right away (no need to manualy select UTF-8 in browser settings). I think the problem is with my local apache configuration, but I can't seem to track it down. Help anyone? Thanks. |
