Hi everyone,
I may have cross post that stuff, if so sorry ... I got some weird pb with my news client ... I am using an Apache Server 1.3.26 on a Windows 2K server. This server serves thru' a frame relay device 300 intranet users who generate an average 1,000,000 requests by working day. First Problem : --------------- At the end of the working day, I got some weird problems, after analyzing the network traffic, I got the following sequence (extract of an etheral capture, ip addresses are totally fake ...) : No. Time Source Destination Protocol Info xxx x.yyyyyy 192.168.1.100 192.168.0.1 TCP 4510 > http [SYN] ... xxx x.yyyyyy 192.168.0.1 192.168.1.100 TCP http > 4510 [RST, ACK] It seems that the connection is refused for some weird problem. When that problem begins to appear for one user then it spreads for almost all other users and becomes worse and worse time passes. As soon as I manually restart Apache Server, the problem fully disappear ! Second problem : ---------------- I have tried to tweak the problem using the MaxRequestsPerChild parameter, so I have set the MaxRequestsPerChild to 10000. It seems that the server process never dies ! Does someone have any clue ? Thanx by advance. Philippe |
