After looking at the clamav users list I see that it appears you have
everything set. If everything is the way it should be and you still
have problems, you might try rebooting.

Is this a Sarge system? Are you using Sarge Volatile for ClamaAV?

It is a Sarge system. I used Unstable for this install. I'll worry
about upgrading to something more current after I figure out how to
get Amavis to recognize Clamav.
