That is certainly a possibility too. You will have to duplicate some
of the SQL connection management and sanitation code that is otherwise
already available in save_info_preliminary/save_info_final.

See what is available in packages/objects:
Amavis::In::Connection
Amavis::In::Message::PerRecip
Amavis::In::Message
