Yes you can. But you would need to be extremely careful when
using existing (and installing new) Perl modules, as these
may come from (go to) one or the other of your Perl libraries.
More likely than not this will lead to confusion and
inconsistencies, so if you can afford, it is safest to
remove 5.6.1 entirely, along with all its library directories.
