Hi,
=20 > We would simply like to know if we thus lost any mails.=20 Nope. Amavis will only reply to the sending MTAs DATA command with a 250 (got the mail OK), when it could send the mail successfully on to the receiving MTA. No mail can be lost that way. > Is > there a better way to recover than just wiping things out like that? Well, amavis keeps evidence (i.e. the mail in the state it was during=20 scanning) if there was some problem with the scanning that forced amavis to give up. All in all a sensible thing to do, since this makes debugging a whole lot easier. If you don't need it, clean the temporary directory=20 that amavis uses in your start-up script, along with other maintainance stuff (like checking the SA bayes dbs for consistency).
