Default RE: [AMaViS-user] Question about /var/amavis/tmp files

Hi,

Nope. Amavis will only reply to the sending MTAs DATA command with
a 250 (got the mail OK), when it could send the mail successfully on
to the receiving MTA. No mail can be lost that way.

Well, amavis keeps evidence (i.e. the mail in the state it was during=20
scanning) if there was some problem with the scanning that forced amavis
to give up. All in all a sensible thing to do, since this makes
debugging
a whole lot easier. If you don't need it, clean the temporary directory=20
that amavis uses in your start-up script, along with other maintainance
stuff (like checking the SA bayes dbs for consistency).

Regs,
Sven
