Like what Daniel correctly said, at the moment amavisd-new is not equipped to use dspam only, without SA. The way it currently works is that dspam inserts some header fields into the mail that is then passed to SA, and we rely on some additional SA rules to recognize those headers and contribute some score points to the final result. The reason it is being done this way for the moment is because it was easier to do so, and I don't believe that bayesian-only approach (even if better than the SA's built-in bayes) without other valuable tests in SA could be a good match for ever more sophisticated spamers.
