Default [AMaViS-user] CPU usage way up since upgrade to 2.2.1

All,

Just upgraded from 2.1.2 to 2.2.1, and have noticed a large difference in
CPU usage. We get a lot of mail here (avg 45msg/min, spikes in day are much
higher, up to 250/min), but 2.1.2 was fairly quiet even during peak load.
That's a much different story right now, however.

We do NOT run SpamAssassin behind amavis; only clamAV, which I also
upgraded from .80 to .83 at the same time.

Can anyone point me in a direction to look to further figure out if
something is misconfigured (everything seems to work OK, just that our system
has gone from a moderate load to crawwwling).

TIA
