ClamAV + QHPSI + local mail AV scanning?

We use qmail + ClamAV + QHPSI (run from qmail-smtp's tcpserver per
fehcom.de) and AV scanning of mail coming in through SMTP works well -
virus-containing mail is blocked. However, mail sent by users
connected locally (whether on local network, connected via VPN or
using webmail) are local deliveries, bypassing SMTP, and so are not
scanned. Is there a way to scan local mail using QHPSI? If not, what
are alternatives (I want to keep using QHPSI for mail coming in
through SMTP)?

an alternative is MailScanner qms.ausics.net for the qmail actioning.
