Default Problem with qmail vacation for virtual users

Hi. I have an OpenBSD box running qmail + vpopmail. I am attempting
to set up vacation for the vpopmail users.

I logged in as the only user on the system to generate the empty
berkely db file. I copied this file into the home directory of the
virtual user. I then created the .vacation.msg file with the
appropriate message.

I then created the .qmail file as follows:

| /var/qmail/bin/qmail-vacation/bin/vacation
testuser
/opt/vpopmail/domains/example.com/testuser

The man page says to do the following:

"Contains the delivery instructions for the local mail delivery
agent, The default contents of this file are:

| /var/qmail/bin/qmail-vacation/bin/vacation
username
$home/Maildir/

(If you see an environment variable above - such as or - it will
be expanded to its correct value during setup phase)."

When a mail comes in for delivery, the mail logs state:

Oct 5 03:17:24 Mail01 qmail: 1128446244.710353 starting delivery
62204: msg 2989551 to local example.com-testuser@example.com
Oct 5 03:17:24 Mail01 qmail: 1128446244.710753 status: local 8/10
remote 0/120
Oct 5 03:17:24 Maill01 qmail: 1128446244.778842 delivery 62204:
deferral:
/var/qmail/bin/qmail-vacation/bin/vacation[1]:_syntax_error:_`newline'_unexpected/
Oct 5 03:17:24 Mail01 qmail: 1128446244.779251 status: local 7/10
remote 0/120

I have tried putting it all on one line, tried adding / at the end of
lines, tried a bunch of things, but it doesn't seem to matter what I
try.

Are there switches that I need that I can't see mentioned in the man
page..? (I do note that it seems that there are words missing in this
man page; I am guessing it attempts to generate a page dependent on the
environment, is it possible that there is stuff missing..?

I would *greatly* appreciate any assistance that you could provide for
me. :-)

Thanks

I don't think qmail-vacation works with vpopmail.
