I posted a few question over the last few days, got some replies from a
couple, still waiting on others. Now these postings has apparently disappeared. Is there someone discarding posts that that they consider non-meritorious of an answer or am I going bonkers? Just wondering if I have to go elsewhere for solutions to my qmail problems!!!!!!! |

Apparently you're new to Usenet. Messages are stored on your local news server, and "expire" (are automatically removed) according to the schedule your news admin determines is correct. Just because you can't see your messages any longer doesn't mean others can't see them. -- Dave Sill Oak Ridge National Lab, Workstation Support Author, The qmail Handbook <http://web.infoave.net/~dsill> <http://lifewithqmail.org/>: Almost everything you always wanted to know. |

Not quite new, have been using usenet since I believe its inception,
80's 90's - days of Veronica, Gophers etc. but the behavior of the system was bizarre. Was seeing all the old posts, way back to 6/22/2003. However, after relaunching the news client the fourth time they reappeared - wierd!!!!
