You know very well what I'm asking. If you do not wish to answer the question because you feel it is silly or obvious, you are not required to pay any attention to it at all. I have a domain. It resolves to an IP. That IP points at a firewall. That firewall routs it to my machine. My machine is on a LAN. It has a different IP. Now then, for the FQDN, all I am asking (if you can lower yourself to consider a question from someone who has both SPENT THE MONEY on the book, AND read it) is: What typ if information is being asked for here? localhost.MyDomain.com? Something else? |

You just didn't provide any of the information necessary to answer it properly. > If you do not wish to answer the question because you feel it is > silly or obvious, you are not required to pay any attention to it at > all. Lighten up. You asked a silly question and got a silly answer. At least it prompted you to provide useful information. > I have a domain. It resolves to an IP. Something else? I would use the domain that resolves to the IP that eventually routes to the system. -- Dave Sill Oak Ridge National Lab, Workstation Support Author, The qmail Handbook <http://web.infoave.net/~dsill> <http://lifewithqmail.org/>: Almost everything you always wanted to know. |
