Thanks Dave, I finally got the Assign statement to work like this:
=<new_user>:vmail:7799:7799:/home/vmail/mail.mydomain.com/<new_user>/::: .. I used your "Life With qmail" manual to set up qmail and it was wonderful. Thanks for putting together a fantastic step-by-step How-To. I know a lot of work went into it and it shows. I really liked your "pizza" analogy and have already borrowed it in explaining the various qmail installation schemes to my colleagues. Also, thanks for the tip on VMailMgr and Vpopmail. I have found that setting up new virtual user accounts by hand is a little cumbersome so I'll look into implementing one of these or some kind of script that I can run to ease the task.
