SASL authentication failure: size read failed

Hello,

I am running postfix 2.2.4 on Ubuntu Breezy Badger with
PAM/SASL/PostgreSQL. Set up everything as usually and working with config
files from another productive system. When doing
smtp-Authentication I always get the following error:



postfix/smtpd[8023]: warning: SASL authentication failure: size read failed
postfix/smtpd[8023]: warning: SASL authentication failure:
Password verification failed



The Database Connection works fine, the password is also right, checked it
out several times.

I really wonder what this error message (size read failed) means. If
someone knew an answer, i would be glad.
