Can some one explain to me their definition as to why I might want to
use post fix instead of exim and why? What apps are post fix good for what apps are exim good for? Sorry if I start a flame going here but I am working on a Fedora setup and I have used Linux before just wanna make sure I know what I am doing. |

I've been looking at Exim because it works well with Mailscanner. I
really like Mailscanner (www.mailscanner.info) due to Mailwatch, a report writer for Mailscanner. Mailscanner works with Postfix, however there have been issues between the 2. OTOH, Postfix seems more friendly in regards to dropping in various anti-spam techniques such as greylisting & RBLS. My current thinking is that I'll use Mailscanner with Postfix & hope the Mailscanner people have resolved the Postfix incompatibilities. BTW: Mailscanner is mostly an interface between the mailer & Spamassassin / ClamAv.
