smtpd_sender_restrictions not working !

Hi

I am having problems with smtpd_sender_restrictions it is currently set to
smtpd_sender_restrictions = reject_unknown_sender_domain

I thought this would stop mail coming in from senders that do not have a
correct mail domain. I have tested this by telneting from an external source
on port 25 and manually entering the smtp commands. In the mail from:
command I type in an address of jason@3423423423 and send it to a legitamate
recipient that our postfix server relays mail for and it accepts it and
passes it on !!! Am I expecting something that I should'nt ??

Hint:
Download a list (http://www.monkeys.com/anti-spam/fil...in-validate.in) and put "reject_unverified_sender" behind every line.
Well... it's pretty hard to do that manually so better it's better to use sed for that job:
sed 's/ *.*/&\treject_unverified_sender/g' input.txt > output.txt
