Grrrr. I don't believe it. SuSEConfig added a second "mailbox_command = " to
the end of main.cf, that I did not see. I only changed the first occurence
which then was overwritten with the second one.... :-(

Now it works. BTW: You don't have to make an entry in master.cf.
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail in main.cf is sufficient.
