transport/router question: CC maildir?

For better or worse, I am attempting to figure out if the following
scenario is possible:

I have two load-balanced mail servers. For some semblance of
redundancy, I would like to cross link the file systems with NFS.
When one server receives a mail, that server then writes a copy of
each message to both file systems.

Is such a configuration possible with exim?
