Default sa-exim and spamassassin not reading configs

Here's my setup.
CentOS 4.4

Exim 4.63
SA-Exim 4.2.1
Spamassassin

Exim is running and it is blocking spam coming in, but it is forwarding
every request for postmaster@domain and forwarding that too
postmaster@mydomain. Instead of one of the virtual domains I have setup
on this box. someotherUser@domain will go through properly. But
postmaster, webmaster, anything i have in /etc/aliases gets gobbled up.
Also I cant seem to find out if it is even checking the eximconfig
folder, which has an option for not relaying webmaster,postmaster...
etc.
any help would be awesome.
thanks
Nick

Does exim take a look at that file at all?

Make sure that exim honors what you put into the "eximconfig" folder
(whatever that might be).

Maybe you should bother using exim's debug functions to check which
files exim uses to decide who gets which emails.
