Hi,
I'd like to configure Exim only to send mail and not to receive any. So I do not want that it listens on port 25. This can be considered a bit crazy, I know, but the only reason I'm installing it is to enable the mail funzion in PHP. PHP wants sendmail (or exim aliased) on the computer where you are compiling php to enable the mail function but I can receive mail on another SMTP server (that is not the same server where I've the php). Do you have some configuration tips? Regards Marco. |

Don't invoke exim as a daemon, then. > This can be considered a bit crazy, I know, but the only reason I'm > installing it is to enable the mail funzion in PHP. > PHP wants sendmail (or exim aliased) on the computer where you are compiling > php to enable the mail function but I can receive mail on another SMTP > server (that is not the same server where I've the php). > Do you have some configuration tips? You could also configure exim to listen only on 127.0.0.1. Regards, Christian -- Christian Schmidt | Germany | ChriSchmiLi@gmx.de No HTML Mails, please!!
